Achilles
---
Achilles was the son of Pelius, king of Pthia, and a sea goddess named Thetis. He was considered the greatest greek warrior of his time and was a prominent member of the greek army in the Trojan War. Some stories say his mother Thetis dipped him in the River Styx when he was an infant, making him invulnerable everywhere except his heels, where she held on to him. He was felled by the trojan prince Paris during the war, when Paris shot him in his vulnerable heel. Some say the arrow was guided by the god Apollo.
